Good morning! Here's what's happening in AI today:
Claude extends Fable 5 access across all paid plans through July 12
Higgsfield launches Apps to build and ship full AI-native applications
OpenAI releases GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna with preview access live now
How to clone Claude Fable 5 reasoning and hand it to other models
And 4 new AI tools worth trying today
AI MODEL
Anthropic extended access to Claude Fable 5 on all paid plans through July 12, keeping its most capable model available to every paying subscriber.
Claude Fable 5 remains available on all paid plans through July 12, giving subscribers continued access without any plan changes required.
Fable 5 is Anthropic's most capable model to date, powering tools like Higgsfield Explainer and other third-party applications built on Claude.
If you are already on a paid plan, nothing changes on your end — Fable 5 stays in your account and works exactly as it has been.
This gives paid subscribers nearly another week to build workflows, test use cases, and get familiar with Fable 5 before any access changes.

Fable 5 is the most powerful version of Claude available right now, and this extension means paid subscribers keep access without interruption. If you have been putting off exploring what Fable 5 can do, this week is the window. Use it to build something, run a complex task through Cowork, or stress-test a workflow you rely on.
AI CODING
Higgsfield introduced Higgsfield Apps, a tool that lets you generate full applications with any Higgsfield image or video model built in, engineered by Fable 5 and deployable when done.
Generate apps with any Higgsfield image or video model already integrated, so you do not need to wire up media generation manually.
Fable 5 engineers every app the way a senior developer would, handling architecture and code quality without you directing each step.
Build aesthetic websites of any complexity, ship browser extensions, plugins, desktop apps, and mobile apps all from the same tool.
Higgsfield Apps is available on Supercomputer and on Claude via Higgsfield MCP, so you can access it through tools you already use.

Building an app that includes AI-generated images or video has always meant stitching together multiple tools. Higgsfield Apps puts the full stack in one place. You describe what you want, Fable 5 builds it, and you deploy when it is ready. For anyone who wants to ship AI-native products without a full engineering team, this removes most of the friction.
AI AGENT
OpenAI announced that GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna will launch publicly this Thursday, with preview access expanding globally now.
Sol is the flagship model of the three, with Terra and Luna rounding out the release as part of the GPT-5.6 family.
Preview access is live globally right now, meaning you can get early access before the full public launch this Thursday.
The three-model release suggests OpenAI is tiering GPT-5.6 across different use cases and capability levels, similar to how other labs structure model families.
This is one of the largest coordinated model releases OpenAI has made, with three distinct models dropping under the same version umbrella.

GPT-5.6 Sol is shaping up to be OpenAI's most significant model release in months. With preview access open now and public launch days away, this is the moment to get in early and test what each model does differently. Three models at once means OpenAI is covering more ground in one release than usual.

HOW TO AI
Fable 5 leaves your Claude plan on July 12. Most people are debating whether to pay for it after. That is the wrong question.
The model's edge over a cheaper model is not locked inside weights you cannot touch. It is a way of reading what a request is actually asking for, breaking hard problems into checkable pieces, and verifying its own claims instead of trusting what sounds right. All of that is describable. Which means all of it is portable.
Get Fable 5 to write that description down, and you can hand it to Opus 4.8 today and any model that ships after that.

Step 1: Extract the operating manual
Paste this into Fable 5 before July 12:
Write the reasoning manual your successor will inherit. Cover how to identify what a request is actually asking for, how to decompose a hard problem so each part can be verified independently, how to locate where real risk lives in any task, how to verify a claim by re-deriving it rather than trusting it sounds right, and how to distinguish what you know from what you are inferring. Be specific enough that Opus 4.8 can execute these without asking for clarification. End with a five-question checklist to run on every answer before sending.
Save that document. That file is the whole point.
Step 2: Transplant it into Opus 4.8
Open any Project in Claude. Paste the entire extracted manual into Project Instructions. Switch the model to Opus 4.8. Every conversation inside that project now loads Fable 5's reasoning procedures automatically, on a model that is not leaving your plan.
Step 3: Prove the transplant worked
Run this test on plain Opus 4.8 and on manual-loaded Opus 4.8:
A report says revenue grew from $4.0M to $4.2M and describes it as a 20% gain. Does that number look right?
The correct answer is 5%, not 20%. Plain Opus will often approve it. Manual-loaded Opus should catch it. If it does, the reasoning transferred. If it does not, go back to Fable 5 and make the verification section more specific.
The model was always rented. The manual is yours.
