AI MODELS

Google rolled out Gemini 4 Argon, its new model for complex software engineering, to Google AI Ultra subscribers through the Antigravity app and CLI.

  • In tests on Google’s production code, Argon increased agentic code output by 35% and reduced post-submit rollbacks by 30%.

  • The output limit jumps from 64,000 to 1 million tokens, giving the model room to return a large refactor or long document in one response.

  • Introductory API pricing is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. Those rates rise to $4 and $20 when the introductory period ends.

More code is useful. Fewer changes that need undoing could be the bigger win, making Google’s 30% drop in rollbacks worth a closer look. Argon joins Muse Wonder, GPT-6, and Claude 5.5 in a busy few weeks for coding models. Ultra subscribers can now see how it handles their own projects.

AI TOOLS

Meta introduced Your algorithm on Facebook, a tool that uses AI to adjust your Feed and Reels based on what you say you want to see.

  • Describe what you want more or less of in everyday language, and the tool uses those instructions to adjust your recommendations.

  • It works across both Feed and Reels, where Facebook suggests posts and videos from accounts you don’t follow.

  • The feature follows Instagram’s Your algorithm controls, which let users add or remove topics to influence their Reels recommendations.

Watching one video out of curiosity can leave your feed full of similar clips. “Less AI video, more home cooking” gives you a clearer way to tell Facebook what you actually enjoy. If the controls work well, users may start expecting the same say over recommendations on other platforms.

AI AGENTS

Supabase connected its platform to Grok Bot, letting users describe a backend change in chat and have Cursor write and apply it through the Supabase MCP server.

  • Ask Grok Bot to add a table or update a database rule, and it passes the request to Cursor to carry out.

  • The Supabase MCP server gives the coding agent access to your project’s database and backend functions.

  • Grok Bot and Cursor are both included in The X Subscription, xAI’s new bundle, putting the chat assistant and coding agent under one plan.

“Add a table for customer feedback” can now become a working backend change without a trip through the database console. Grok Bot takes the request, and Cursor handles the code. That makes small updates easier to start, though changes still need review before they reach a production database.

HOW TO AI

Have Claude build your app, test it on your iPhone, and fix the problems it finds.

Phone Harness is a free, open-source tool that lets coding agents read an iPhone screen and send taps through iPhone Mirroring.

Claude Code builds a small web app, and you test it in Safari on your phone. You'll need a Mac running macOS Sequoia or later, an iPhone on the same Wi-Fi, Python, and Claude Code.

Step 1: Install Phone Harness

Start Claude Code in a new folder. Ask it to clone ShawnPana/phone-harness into ~/.phone-harness, read install.md, and register the skill.

Keep banking apps signed out and use made-up test data.

Step 2: Connect your phone

Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi, then open iPhone Mirroring and pair them.

Under System Settings, then Privacy & Security, enable Terminal for Accessibility and Screen Recording. Quit and reopen Terminal.

Step 3: Check the connection

Ask Claude to run phone-harness --doctor. Fix the first failing check, then request screen_info() to confirm it can find the mirroring window.

Keep the window in front when sending taps.

Step 4: Build the app

Have Claude create a tip splitter in one index.html and serve it with python3 -m http.server 8000.

Open your Mac's local address in Safari on the mirrored phone. Ask Claude to identify the fields without tapping.

Step 5: Run the test

Tell Claude to use only Safari, stay on your test page, and ask before sign-ins, downloads, or opening anything else.

Test a bill of 84.50, an 18 percent tip, and 4 people. Tap Split and compare the result with 24.93.

Cursor expanded Origin to more than 20 integrations. Its code hosting platform now connects repositories with tools for testing, deployment, code review, security, monitoring, and project management.

Runway connected its generation tools to Replit, so builders can create images, videos, and other assets inside their web projects while taking a site from first idea to finished pages.

Firecrawl launched the Marketing Data Pack in Alexandria. It gives ChatGPT and Claude data to investigate what attracts traffic, plan SEO and AI search strategies, and create content informed by what performs.

🎭 ElevenCreative: Added Recast to swap a character in a shot while preserving the lighting, framing, motion, camera movement, cuts, and audio.

📊 Gamma: Gamma 5 now pulls live data into decks through connectors for Slack, Notion, Granola, Clay, Salesforce, Airtable, and Linear.

🔎 DigUp: Search photos, audio, video, and code locally with this open-source macOS menu bar app, powered by EmbeddingGemma 2.

🧰 OrcaRouter: Launched Agent Tools, giving agents access to more than 1,400 tools through one skill and API key, with billing per call.
